The film screenings at Milwaukee’s Arab World Fest this year are all about Palestine, from the Oscar-nominated Omar to documentaries such as The War Around Us.
The festival returns after three years hiatus to avoid conflicts with Ramadan, running between 8 and 10 August
Other events at the festival include Rami Gabriel Arabic Jazz, Remi Kanazi (Poetry Jam), Raffoul (Palestine rap), Freedom Dabke Group, singers singer John Khoury (Lebanon), Hisham Barakat (Lebanon/Syria), Elias Haddad, Wally Lsmar (Iraq), and Nidal Ibourk (Morrocco).
